Its biggest cities are Dnipro, Kyiv, and Lviv. Currently, more than 75,000 international students are studying in Ukrainian higher educational institutions. These students are from 154 different countries. This article covers some of the best scholarships available in Ukraine that can help you finance your educational journey in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Universities offer degrees in the following languages:

The higher educational institutions of Ukraine mainly teach in Ukrainian, Russian, English, and French. Applicants from outside of Ukraine will have to prove their language proficiency in either one of these languages if their native language is not one. Applicants may also choose to take up a language program in Russian or Ukrainian for one year if they want to pursue their study programs in one of these languages but are not fluent.

What is the Average Cost of Living in Ukraine?

The cost of living in Ukraine is one of the lowest in the world. In fact, it is one of the reasons why it is such a hotshot country among international students. A person with a modest lifestyle would need 1200 USD to 1500 USD per year to live comfortably in Ukraine. The rent or accommodation accounts for most of the expenses. The prices of utilities, groceries, and transportation are pretty low.

Can students work in Ukraine?

International students in Ukraine are granted a residence permit and not a student visa. If they want to work alongside studying they will have to apply for employment. Upon getting a job they will have to apply for a work permit. Once they get a work permit they can work for up to 40 hours a week.
