OneBeat Virtual Residency Program 2021

Application is open for the OneBeat Virtual Residency Program

OneBeat Virtual will accept applications from February 10 to March 10, 2021, to participate in OneBeat V.1 or OneBeat V.2.

Each OneBeat Virtual scholarship program involves 28 business days for 8 weeks to allow for asynchronous offline interaction and development time. Applicants will be considered for both dates of the scholarship but will be assigned a single virtual residence once selected. Applicants can indicate a date preference, but preferences cannot be guaranteed.

Eligibility Criteria :

• Applicants must be 19 years of age or older at the time of the program (July 2021) and 35 years of age or younger at the end of the program (November 2021).
• Applicants will be considered for both scholarship dates, but will be assigned a single virtual residence if selected.
• Sonic artists and musicians, ages 19-35 (during program dates), from eligible countries and territories are invited to apply.
• OneBeat Virtual Scholars must have access to a laptop or smart device (video conferencing-capable phone or tablet) and access to a reliable Wi-Fi connection to participate in the program.
• Musicians of any gender or background are encouraged to apply.
• Participants must have a basic knowledge of English to be able to participate in ensembles and creative sessions.

Benefits :

Fellows of OneBeat Virtual Residency Program 2021  will receive an honorarium of $ 1,500 USD, per diem for online work sessions and, depending on individual need, a small grant for technical support.
