Jawa Motorcycles met Railways Pointsman Mayur Shelke and handed over him the key of a brand new Jawa Forty Two bike, as a bravery award to save life of a 6 year old child at Vangani Railway Station. (Mumbai).
A child, walking with his blind mother on a train platform accidently slipped and fell on the railway track, a few seconds before an express train was to arrive on the platform. Poinstman Mayur Shelkhe of the Central Railway Mumbai Division courageously risked his own life to save the child. Without a moment's delay, Shelkhe ran towards the boy who fell on the track and lifted him on to the platform. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera, which has been one of the viral vedio of Railways.
