Flexible online and on-campus degrees: IU prides itself on helping people from diverse backgrounds and situations get the education they want. Part of that is understanding that you may have previous work or family commitments that you need to work your studies around.
That’s why they offer a range of time models for their online courses; full-time and two part-time models, so you can choose the model that best fits your needs. They recently remodelled their on-campus study model to offer more flexibility. You now attend live lectures at IU’s Berlin or Bad Honnef campus two or three days per week, where you can work closely in small groups with close contact with the staff so they can answer any questions you might have.
The rest of the lectures are pre-recorded, and you can watch them at any time. This way you get to work part-time, socialize, and explore what Germany has to offer. What’s more is you can attend career fairs, alumni talks, and build your professional network to set you up for a successful career in Europe.
More Accessible English Language Degrees
As part of its mission to make education more accessible, IU has now started its own initiative to help prospective students to provide proof of English skills without having to pay out for tests and traditional courses such as TOEFL, IELTS or the Cambridge Certificate. The Speexx program is offered to you when you sign up for online courses at IU.
You then get access to this English course that will take you to the required level of B2.2. You can take this alongside your studies, the courses usually take around three months of learning to advance to the next level. The IU website has complete information about their English language requirements, and which forms of proof are accepted.
IELTS Exemptions for Countries
What’s more is IU has now made it possible to waive English language requirements for citizens of countries where English is the official educational language, giving even more people the chance to get the education they deserve. The list of countries is available below;
