HerStory: Self-Taght Sketch Artist Bushra Rasool nurtured her passion to start a business out of it
During the prolonged lockdown, while everyone else was restless in their confined houses, I became increasingly passionate about art and calligraphy. I used to utilise social media networks to improve my art.I had entered countless online art competitions.I enjoy doing calligraphy in English and Arabic, doodle, silhouettes art, paper crafts, and painting.
In addition to calligraphy name frames, couple frames, and Quranic verses, I create calligraphy couple frames.I wish my Abu was still alive to support me, as do all of my well-wishers. I'm very grateful to Allah for blessed me with this Art.
I've always been imaginative, but I never imagined I'd be likely to undertake it professionally or generate revenue from it.
Calligraphy became an aspect of her daily life as she learned for several hours after work every day, launched an Instagram profile for joy, and began working on Festival and nuptials presents for friends and family.
Addressing the people had been an initial challenge. "People didn't understand and would question how calligraphy could be used for anything." It is extremely visual, and you must demonstrate what you can do. Apart from being an artist and attempting to become an entrepreneur, I realised how useful corporate job was.
