Sheikh Fiza,a multi-talented girl from Kulgam village of Jammu and Kashmir, who was born with a passion for sports, particularly cricket, would watch a game from the sidelines of the cricket field. She wasn't playing inside because she was a girl.People in her community make a living by caring for livestock,harvesting crops. She had no clue when her passion for cricket began, but she has always enjoyed watching matches.

If there was a game in the village, she would sit near the boundary and cheer on the winners. She began practising cricket for two hours while he was in seventh grade.My father is only source of bread earner and mother housewife. They have never doubted my capabilities and always supported me to concentrate on the game.

Snow and rain would dominate nearly half of our twelve months here. Cricket activities were scarce during the time. I had to make this decision despite my doubts about my ability to do so. Fiza believes she would seize this opportunity to cement her spot in the Indian women's cricket squad.

Fiza is a new face of Cricket in Kashmir who is trying to make her career in the sports. She at her younger age started playing in local cricket events and eventually got a chance to play State Levels.Fiza had achieved many milestones and has a large collection of her trophies,medals. She had also turned recycled waste into an art collection which she does in her spare time. 

She played gully cricket before progressing to higher secondary, where she was able to compete against other cricketers and captain her team in inter-school games.The young athlete aspires to be a top cricketer for India and to represent his nation. On Top of that Fiza Marked academic positions too in the board exams.Many Kashmiri girls love to play cricket, but they lack of facilities.We can’t do much. We don’t have any academy there, there is no infrastructure.
