The programme provides full scholarships to academically promising graduate and undergraduate students with limited financial resources who are concerned about their communities, proactive in their environment, and believe in their ability to make a difference.The American University of Beirut's Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is now accepting applications from international students interested in pursuing graduate studies in Lebanon. The American University of Beirut (AUB) offers full graduate education scholarships in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation.The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at AUB aims to prepare young people to be change agents in their communities, countries, and regions. Aside from the courses required for their degree, scholars must attend a series of workshops, courses, and field work.

The programme provides full scholarships to academically promising graduate and undergraduate students with limited financial resources who are concerned about their communities, proactive in their environment, and believe in their ability to make a difference.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Languages required: English
  2. Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros, and Other African Countries are eligible.
  3. Graduate scholarships are available to African, Lebanese, and refugee and displaced people living in Lebanon.
  4. Academic promise, financial disadvantage, leadership potential, and a desire to give back and return to one's community are all factors in selection and admission.
  5. All levels of official university transcripts
  6. Application for Graduate Studies (apply online).
  7. 2 letters of recommendation
  8. The IELTS or TOEFL exam is required.
  9. The GMAT is required for admission to the MBA programme. Some majors at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences require the GRE.
  10. Fees for applications ($50 or L.L.75,000).
