Commonwealth, like the Chevening Scholarship, is the largest scholarship programme in the United Kingdom. The UK Government is funding this scholarship. The Scholarship's goal is to bring candidates and students from poor and middle-income Commonwealth nations together.

Financial Coverage

3. Monthly stipend of £1,236 per month, or £1,516 per month for those attending universities in the London metropolitan region.
4. Warm clothing allowance, when appropriate Thesis grant towards thesis preparation fees
5. Study excursions in other countries or within the UK are also available for free.
6. Contribution to the cost of the required tuberculosis (TB) test
7. If Scholars have children and are widowed, divorced, or single parents, they will get a monthly child allowance of £529 for the first kid and £131 for the second and third children under the age of 16.

Eligibility Criteria  

1. Be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth nation or have been awarded refugee status by one, or be a British Protected Person.
2. Be a permanent resident of a Commonwealth country.
3. be ready to begin academic studies in the UK before the start of the UK academic year in September 2023
4. Hold a first degree with at least upper second-class (2:1) honours or a lower second-class (2:2) degree and an appropriate postgraduate certification (typically a Master's degree) by September 2023.
5. Without this scholarship, I would be unable to study in the United Kingdom.

Documentation Required

To be eligible, applications must contain supporting documents. Candidates must provide the following documents with their application:

1. Evidence proving the applicant is a citizen of or has refugee status in a Commonwealth country: a copy of a valid passport (or national ID card) with a photo, birth date, and country of citizenship

How to Apply

1. Commonwealth Shared Scholarship applications must be submitted using the CSC's online application system.
2. In addition to applying for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship using the CSC's online application system, candidates must apply for and be admitted to an authorised Master's degree at a participating UK university.
