The University of Copenhagen is giving a limited number of scholarships that are supported by the Danish government. The award is competitive, and only extremely gifted applicants with great academic records will be considered. It is also worth noting that students from E)/EEU nations are ineligible for this grant. All non-EU/EEA candidates who are accepted will be automatically considered for the scholarship.

The Danish Government Scholarship is awarded in the form of full or partial tuition fee exemptions and/or a sum sufficient to cover basic living expenses.

Eligible Nationalities: If you are an international student and qualify for international student status in Denmark, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship providing you meet the other eligibility conditions listed.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

A citizen of a country other than the EU, EEA, or Switzerland admitted to a master's degree programme at the University of Copenhagen is granted a time-limited residence visa for the purpose of studying in Denmark.

If you meet the following criteria, you are ineligible for a Danish Government Scholarship:

1. have a legal claim to Danish citizens' rights are eligible for a grant under Danish law under the State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme (SU) have been granted a residence permit at the time of admission under the Danish Aliens Consolidation Act 9c, subsection 1, as the child of a foreign citizen who has been granted a residence permit a residence visa under the Danish Aliens Consolidation Act 9m, and who is a citizen of a nation that has not joined the EU or is not covered by the EEA agreement.

Application Procedure:

1. If they are eligible, all non-EU/EEA candidates to the University of Copenhagen's MA/MSc degree programmes will be automatically assessed for the Danish Government Scholarship. As a result, there is no need to apply.
2. Those that are nominated will be contacted by UCPH via the email address provided in their admission application. The scholarship must be declined or accepted by the nominees.
3. If you are given a scholarship but do not accept it by the time mentioned in the e-mail, the scholarship will be cancelled and awarded to another applicant.
