Scholarship Description: The UTS is a scholarship for excellent students from non-EU/EEA countries who wish to study a graduate degree (MSc) at the University of Twente. Those who get this award will join a community of exceptionally promising UT students. They may also be given the opportunity to participate in the selection process for one of three honours programmes: Research Honors, Design Honors, or Change Leaders.
If a student is enrolled in a two-year study programme, they may be eligible for an additional UTS scholarship to cover expenditures in the second year, equal in value to the one provided in the first year. To continue receiving the scholarship in the second year, students must meet the UTS eligibility criteria, which include earning an average grade of 7 (out of 10) and completing at least 50% of European Credits by the end of the first year's third quartile.
The University of Twente is a public research institution in the Dutch city of Enschede. It was formed in 1961 as Twente Technical University and has since evolved to become a major higher education institution.

- € 3,000 – € 22,000 per year (approximately 50 scholarships available). If you have applied for a two-year programme, please read the following information regarding two-year study programmes.

Eligibility Criteria:
- To be eligible for a University of Twente Scholarship, you must satisfy all of the conditions listed below.
- The application for a UT scholarship is independent from the application for a course at the University of Twente. Regardless of financing, you must first get an acceptance letter.
- You have been admitted (provisionally) to one of the qualified UT Master programmes beginning in the academic year 2023/2024. (September). Please keep in mind that it may take up to 8 weeks to obtain your results after submitting your application.
- You must have a student identification number.
- You have not completed a UT (under)graduate programme;
- You have passed the general English language test. Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT 90) and an extra 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the speaking skills subscore
- You are not eligible for a Dutch study loan; the University Twente Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship. Normally, this signifies that you are among the top 5 to 10% of your class.
Application Procedure:
- You must first apply for a Master's programme. You can apply for the scholarship using your student number after applying for a Master's course and receiving a (conditional) acceptance letter.
- Dutch and/or existing UT students cannot attend UTS.
- EU/EEA students are not permitted to study at UTS.
- Master's programmes in the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation are not accessible at UTS (ITC). The UTS is not an option for the pre-program. Master's
