Eligibility Criteria:

When applying online for the Central South University Scholarship in China, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. They must be non-Chinese citizens with a clean criminal record and in good health.
2. For Bachelor's degree programs, applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old and hold a high school degree or equivalent. For Master's degree programs, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. For Doctoral degree programs, applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old and hold a Master's degree or equivalent.
3. Language proficiency requirements vary depending on the language of instruction. For Chinese-taught programs, applicants must obtain a minimum score of 260 in HSK4 for non-medical programs and 200 for medical programs. For English-taught programs, applicants must obtain a minimum score of 6 in IELTS or 85 in TOFEL.
4.  Applicants who cannot meet the Chinese proficiency requirements must complete a one-year preparatory course in Chinese language and pass all relevant exams before beginning their programs. However, some applicants may be exempt from proving their linguistic competence based on certain conditions.
5. Postgraduate applicants must demonstrate a strong academic background and research capabilities.

 Application Procedure:

1. Online Application
2. Log in to the School of International Education, CSU website and fill in the application form.
3. Click on admission-online application or APPLY NOW to submit the application.
4. Initial Review and Application Fee Payment
5. The School of International Education will conduct an initial review of the applicant's identity, language ability, and physical and mental conditions.
6. Pay the application fee of CNY 500 on the unified payment platform of CSU after passing the initial review.
7. Application fee payment must be completed within two weeks, or the application will not continue.
8. Academic Evaluation
9. Relevant schools will conduct an academic review to assess the applicant's academic credentials, scientific research ability, and potential for innovation.
10. Result Release
11. Based on the application and review, the final admission result will be released via admission email.
12. The final financial support is subject to the admission notice received.
