The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) invited foreign citizens to apply for the Fully Funded Mexico Government Scholarship 2023 on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The call is open to citizens from over 180 countries. The scholarship is available for full-time Masters, PhD, and Postgraduate Research, as well as Post Doctoral studies.
More than 80 Mexican higher education institutions took part in this scholarship. The English-translated version of the Document Guide is available to applicants. The following are the benefits and application process for the 2023 Mexican Government Scholarship Programme for International Students.

Who can Apply? 

More than 180 countries are eligible for Mexican government scholarships. Candidates can examine thelist of Eligible Countries

Scholarship Benefits 

The Mexican Government Scholarship 2023 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. All expenses will be paid, including:

Enrollment in Monthly Stipend and Tuition Fee Medical Coverage
Waiver of Visa Fees
International Flight Tickets for Local Travel

Required Documents 

  • Scholarship application form, signed and completed.
  • A letter outlining your motivation for conducting studies or research in Mexico. (No more than two pages, letter Arial size 12 and single line spacing).
  • Curriculum vitae (CV). (Arial font size 12, single line spacing, maximum 3 pages).
  • Academic acceptance letter from the Mexican institution recipient or HEI response to the admission application (see Requirements section of the acceptance letter).
  • Letter of intent to return to one's home country.
  • Acceptance letter for the Call's terms.
  • A copy of the birth certificate is required.
  • A colour copy of a valid passport in open book format, or a government-issued photo ID.
  • Copy of a medical certificate issued by a public or private health institution within 3 (three) months of the application presentation, indicating that the Applicant is in good health.
  • In cases where Spanish is not the applicant's mother tongue, a copy of proof of advanced knowledge of the Spanish language issued by any university or educational centre for its accreditation, which guarantees a minimum level of B2, within the Common Framework European Reference, must be submitted.
  • Under protest, the applicant states that the information provided is true in a letter.
  • All documents and forms must be in Spanish or translated into Spanish.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Students with nationalities from any of the above-mentioned countries are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
  • Applicants who are not currently residing in Mexico.
