Scholarship Details: The University of Brunei Darussalam is now accepting applications for its scholarship programme for the academic year 2023-24. International students from all over the world are welcome to apply for this fully funded scholarship to pursue a Master's or PhD degree beginning in January 2024. The scholarship covers all expenses associated with completing the degree, and there is no application fee.

Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity, and Integrated Technologies are among the academic fields and majors available at UBD. UBD's scholarship covers all costs associated with pursuing postgraduate degree programmes.

Brunei's first university, the University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD), was founded in 1985. It is ranked 86th in Asia in the 2022 QS Asia University Rankings and 254th in the world in the 2020 QS World University Rankings, giving it a prominent place in the academic landscape.

Degree Level:

The scholarship is offered by the University of Brunei in three categories, each with its own duration:

1. Master by Coursework: Depending on the programme, the programme can be completed in twelve (12) months of full-time study or eighteen (18) months.

2. Master of Science in Research: The programme requires 24 months of full-time study.

3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): Depending on the programme, the minimum period of study for a PhD is thirty-six (36) months of full-time study or sixty (60) months of part-time study.

Benefits of the Scholarship: The University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023-24 provides full financial support for postgraduate degree programmes at UBD to both national and international students. The following provisions are included in the scholarship:

 Tuition fees, including registration and acceptance fees, are waived at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

 A BND 2200.00 monthly subsistence allowance for a period of 36 months.

 On-campus housing for the entire 36-month period.

 One round-trip economy class air ticket from the student's home country to their home country is provided upon acceptance of the scholarship and upon completion of their studies.

 Field research allowances of BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities candidates and BND 2000.00 for Science candidates.

Eligibility Criteria: 

• Students from Brunei and other countries are eligible.
•  Applicants for the Master's degree programme must have a Bachelor's degree with honours.
•  A Master's degree certificate is required for the Doctoral degree programme.
•  A high-quality and persuasive research proposal is required.
•  Candidates must demonstrate their suitability and readiness to pursue studies in the field of their choice.
• Meeting English language requirements is a required criterion.
