The EWC Graduate Degree Fellowship program is a fully funded master's and doctoral degree scholarship at the University of Hawaii, Mnoa campus in the United States. Fill out an application for the EWC Graduate Degree Fellowship 2024. The Fellowship is open to both US citizens and Asian and Pacific Islander citizens. The East-West Center will fund the scholarship while you are enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Hawai'i at Mnoa (UHM).
Participants in this Fellowship can also take part in educational, cultural, residential community building, and leadership development initiatives at the East-West Center. You have until December 1st, 2023 to apply. The EWC Graduate Fellowship covers tuition, housing, meals, a stipend, health insurance, books, and any other expenses. Eligible Countries
Individuals with permanent residency or citizenship in these countries are eligible to apply for the East-West Centre Graduate Fellowship 2024.
American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Northern Marianas, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna Islands, Wallis and Futuna Islands, Wallis
Southeast Asia countries include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor-Leste. Vietnam
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are all in South Asia.
China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Russia, and Taiwan are all in East Asia.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be a citizen of the country stated above.
- A bachelor's degree is required for the candidate.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (4.0=A scale) is required.
- The University of Hawaii needs evidence of English language proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL.
- You may provide an exception from IELTS or TOEFL if: a) your academic program was in a country where English is the first language; and b) you graduated from that institution during the previous five years.
