Fully Funded MEXT Scholarships in Japan - University of Tokyo MEXT Scholarship 2024-2025 Japan

MEXT is a fully funded scholarship sponsored by the Japanese government. The University of Tokyo MEXT Scholarship 2024 application period is currently underway. MEXT University has recommended this call for 2024. At Tokyo University, you may apply for Master's and PhD programs. If you have previously finished your degree at an English language medium university, IELTS is not necessary.

Scholarship Duration

1. Master’s Program = October, 2024 – September, 2026 (2 years)
2. Doctoral Program = October, 2024 – September, 2027 (3 year).

Scholarship Benefits

1. Each student will receive:Stipend is paid on a monthly basis.
2. The 2024 stipend has not yet been determined. However, as an example, the monthly stipend for Masters in 2023 was 144,000 yen/month.
3. 145,000 yen per month for round-trip doctoral airfare The tickets have been purchased.
4. Fees for enrollment and tuition will be waived.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants having a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply.
2. A minimum CGPA of 2.30 is required for applicants.
3. Candidates must have been born on or after April 2, 1989.
4. List of Countries Eligible for MEXT University Recommended Scholarship at University of Tokyo.
