The University of Malta is happy to present International Student Scholarships. Applications are being accepted for the University of Malta Scholarships 2024/25 for Masters and PhD studies. Students from outside the European Union/EEA are welcome to apply. Professional doctorates and MBA-style programs are not accepted. The University of Malta (L-Università ta' Malta), abbreviated as UM, is Malta's only public university.
Over 1,000 foreign students from more than 80 countries attend Malta University. The University of Malta is a prestigious institution. The University has a 70-80% acceptance rate. This indicates that for every 100 kids who apply to university, around 70-80 will be accepted. Furthermore, the cost of living in Malta is quite low. What subjects may you study with the UM Malta Scholarship 2024? 

Only applicants who have been unconditionally accepted to study for a Master's degree by research or a Ph.D. full-time or part-time are eligible to apply.

That is, you must first obtain an admission offer before applying for scholarships at Malta University.

Scholarship Coverage

Deserving candidates who successfully complete the admissions procedure but do not have the financial means to pay the full tuition charge will be evaluated for a Full or Partial scholarship.
  • Tuition fee waivers range from 40% to 100%.

No of Scholarships

A total of scholarships will be distributed over two schemes:
  • Ph.D. and Master's Degree Programs (mostly by Research)
  • Masters Degrees (mostly taught)
Up to 50 scholarships are available for students approved to pursue a Ph.D. or Masters degree (mostly via research).

Up to 50 scholarships are available for people pursuing Master's Degree programs that are mostly taught.

Required Documents

A copy of the acceptance letter, a detailed curriculum vitae, a motivating letter, and a copy of your passport (details page) are all required.
