Fully Funded Commonwealth Split Site PhD Scholarships 2024-2025 For international students


The Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships allow applicants from poor and middle-income countries to spend a year conducting research at a university in the United Kingdom. Commonwealth Split Site PhD Scholarships are fully funded till 2024. All expenses will be reimbursed. To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must be a citizen of a Commonwealth country or have been given refugee status by a Commonwealth country.

Applicants must submit their applications online using the CSC online application system. These UK universities will offer you a Commonwealth Split Site scholarship. Applicants should anticipate a response to their application by July 2024. The scholarship in the United Kingdom will commence in September/October 2024. Scholarship Benefits

Approved air travel from the scholar's home nation to the UK, followed by a return flight from the UK to the scholar's home country.
  1. Tuition fees approved: entire expenses are covered
  2. Stipend (living allowance) of £1,347 per month for students attending universities in the London metropolitan region, or £1,652 per month for those attending universities outside the London metropolitan area (rates listed at current levels).
  3. Allowance for warm clothes, if applicable.
  4. Grant for study-related travel inside the UK or abroad.
  5. If a scholar is widowed, divorced, or a single parent, he or she will get a monthly child allowance of £576.61 for the first kid and £143 for the second.

Eligibility Criteria

You must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth nation or have been given refugee status.
  1. Be a permanent resident of a Commonwealth country.
  2. By the time the scholarship begins in September 2024, you must be registered as a Ph.D. student in an eligible Commonwealth country.
  3. Be eligible to begin academic studies in the United Kingdom in September 2024.
  4. Please include all supporting documentation.

Supporting Documents

  1. Citizenship documentation
  2. Transcripts of all higher education credentials
  3. At least two separate references in PDF format
  4. A PDF supporting statement from a possible supervisor in the UK from the institution mentioned on the application form.
  5. A PDF statement of support from the current supervisor at the home university.
