Brunei Government Scholarships 2024-2025 - Study free Bachelors,Masters and PhD in Brunei with Fully Funded Scholarships

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to solicit applications for the Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship to Foreign Students Tenable in Brunei Darussalam for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The Scholarship allows candidates to pursue studies at the Diploma, Undergraduate Degree, and Postgraduate Master's Degree levels at the following Bruneian institutions. 

1. Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD),
2. Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA),
3. Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB),
4. Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and
5. Politeknik Brunei (PB)​.

Eligibility

Applications that are ineligible will be rejected. Before applying, please ensure that you match the following eligibility requirements:

Candidates must:

1. Must be at least 25 years old for Undergraduate and Diploma programs, and 35 years old for Postgraduate Master's Degree programs, on the first day of July in the year the course/programme begins.
2. Have a Credit 6 at GCE 'O' Level Examination or a Grade "C" in IGCSE English (as a second language) or an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum score of 550 in English.

NOTE: The Scholarship is primarily meant for overseas students who are studying for the first time in Brunei Darussalam. Bruneians, Brunei Permanent Residents, and international students now attending or who have previously enrolled in Brunei higher institutions are NOT eligible.

Application process

1. The deadline for applying for the Scholarship is February 15, 2024.

2.An candidate may be needed to attend an interview at a location(s) chosen by the institutions providing the programs, as well as a written examination to assess the applicant's competence in English/Malay/Arabic (where relevant).

3.The Brunei Darussalam government maintains the right to refuse any application. The decision on candidate selection is final. Any disagreements or inquiries about the judgment will be ignored.

Documents required in the application form:

1. Certified authentic copies of academic credentials and other supporting papers (for example, certificates, testimonies, and transcripts).
2. ​Certified English translations of supporting papers that are not in English must be presented.
3. Certified accurate copies of both the birth certificate and the passport.
4. Referee references and recommendations. (C1 and C2)
