Study in Sweden - Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals 2024-2025 for Masters Programs

In the Autumn of 2024, the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), a new scholarship program that replaces the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS), will give scholarships to a wide number of master's programs at Swedish universities.
The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals seeks to train future global leaders who will contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to positive and sustainable development in their home nations and area.
Level of study/Field(s) of study:
- Swedish universities and higher education institutions provide full-time one or two-year master's programs.
- The SI grant for Global Professionals is available for around 700 English-taught master's programs in the humanities, agricultural science, medicine and public health, natural science, social science, and technology. The list of qualifying master programs for the SISGP call for application academic year will be available soon on the official website.
Scholarship amount, inclusions, and duration:
- The scholarship provides full tuition, monthly living expenses of SEK 12,000, insurance, and a one-time travel award of SEK 10,000-15,000 (only for scholarship recipients residing outside of Sweden).
- The scholarship is only available for full-time one-year or two-year master's programs that begin in the autumn semester.
- There are no extra awards available to family members. It also does not cover the University Admissions application fee.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for SISGP, you must:
- You must be a citizen of one of the countries listed above to be eligible for SI scholarships. However, you are not need to be a resident of the nation at the time of application.
- The master's programs for which you apply must be SI-eligible. Depending on your nation of citizenship, the institution prioritizes programs in specific academic areas.
- You must have prior job experience (conditions apply in some places). Furthermore, you must have shown leadership experience from your current or past employment, as well as from civic participation.
- you must be responsible to pay tuition fees to Swedish institutions, have completed the University Admissions process, have paid the application fee on time, and have been admitted (or provisionally enrolled) to one of the qualifying master's programs before March 21, 2024.

Instructions for use:
The application portal will be available on the official website from February 12 until February 28, 2024.
- To begin, apply for a master's program by 15 January 2024 at universityadmissions.se. After submitting your application for master's programme(s) at universityadmissions.se, you will be assigned an eight-digit personal application number. You will need this number when applying for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals.
- You can apply for a SI scholarship once you have finished your application to a master's program. From 12 February 00:01 to 28 February 2024 14:59 CET, you must submit the needed documentation digitally using the online application site.
