Lithuania is a European country with a population of only 2.8 million (as of February 27, 2024). The Lithuania State Scholarship 2024-2025 application period is currently open. This is the Lithuanian government's financial aid program for international students, which includes full-time master's studies as well as short-term studies (1-2 semesters) at Lithuanian universities. The Lithuanian State Scholarship will pay the complete tuition and living expenses.

1. Scholarships for Short-Term Studies
The request for proposals for 2024-2025 short-term studies is open until April 15, 2024.
- Scholarship type: 2024-2025 academic year, short-term (1-2 semesters) studies
- Number of scholarships: up to 35.
- Institute: The studies can be arranged at any Lithuanian Higher Education Institute.
- Eligible countries include Azerbaijan, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Republic of South Africa, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Vietnam.
- Foreigners of Lithuanian descent (from any foreign country).
2.Scholarships for Lithuanian Short-Term Studies
The call for applications for Lithuanian short-term studies in 2024-2025 is open until April 15, 2024.
- Number of scholarships: up to 45.
- Eligible Countries: Any country
- Type of scholarship: Short-term (1-2 semesters). Lithuanian studies (at least 50% of the subjects relate to Lithuanian studies).
Applicants must select a study program with at least 50% Lithuanian-related courses, which may include Lithuanian philology, linguistics, literature, Lithuanian history, ethnology, folklore, and so on.
Financial Benefits
Foreign students in all professions are able to apply for Lithuanian state scholarships. The scholarship covers the following:
- Tuition fees are covered.
- All candidates will get a monthly scholarship of 825 EUR to support their living expenses.
- In addition, most Lithuanian colleges provide students with scholarships from their own finances.
Eligibility criteria
- The candidate must obtain official acceptance (Conditional Agreement) from the preferred Lithuanian higher education institution.
