South Korea Scholarships - Kyungdong University IUCEA Scholarships 2024-2025 for East African Community (EAC) member country Students

The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) is accepting applications for the Kyungdong University Undergraduate Scholarship. The Kyungdong University IUCEA Scholarship is a fully financed program that includes tuition, housing, $10,000 living stipends, and full airfare to and from Korea.

In this post, Scholarship Region will go over the Kyungdong University IUCEA Scholarship's qualifications, advantages, and application process. The application season for KDU Global - IUCEA Scholarships 2024 is now open to students from East African Community (EAC) member countries. The scholarships allow the chance to study in several English-medium undergraduate degree programs at Kyungdong University (KDU) Global Campus, one of South Korea's leading international educational institutions.

Eligibility:

To qualify for the Kyungdong University IUCEA Scholarship, you must:

1. Be a citizen and resident of one of the East African Community Partner States (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, or Uganda);
2. Completed the pre-university level with outstanding results.
3. Completion of pre-university study in the home country in 2022 or 2023.
4. Subject areas and combinations to include: mathematics and English;
5. Have a minimum grade of B in math and English.
6. English Language Requirements: Be fluent in English. Applicants who do not speak English as their first language must demonstrate English competency. 
7. Applicants should not be older than 22 years.

Selection Criteria: After submitting the appropriate documentation, eligible applicants will be selected based on their performance and the availability of spaces in each Partner State.

Benefits:

Kyungdong University's IUCEA Scholarship covers the following:

1. KDU Global charges a full tuition price of $10,000 per year for up to four years.
2. KDU Global charges an on-campus lodging cost of $1,600 per year for up to four years.
3. Return flight ticket at the beginning and conclusion of every two years (IUCEA).
4. IUCEA provides health insurance support every month for four years.
5. Application processing and handling cost of $200 following selection (by IUCEA)

Documents Required

To apply, candidates must prepare to submit the following documents:

1. Application form and Statement of Interest for the Executive Secretary of IUCEA.
2. Recent passport photos in colour with a clear shot of the face and upper shoulders.
3. Comprehensive curriculum vitae (CV), containing the names and contact information for two references.
4. Two letters of recommendation (the same referees as in the CV, one of whom should be the Head of the Institution where the student completed his/her secondary education).
5. Certified copies of national pre-university certificates and transcripts (Provisional Results will only be accepted temporarily if approved by the issuing national agency).
6. A passport/National ID and residency attestation are required as proof of citizenship and resident in an East African Community Partner State.
