Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships are offered to excellent students whose profiles align with Sciences Po's admissions goals and unique course requirements. The Emile Boutmy scholarship fund is supported generously by its sponsors (benefactors, organization's, and foundations) who are eager to provide the most deserving overseas students with an opportunity to study at Sciences Po. Private donors can make direct contact with scholarship recipients at official events.
The Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships fund is generously supported by its sponsors (benefactors, organization's, and foundations) who want to assist the most deserving international students to study at Sciences Po. Private donors can make direct contact with scholarship recipients at official events. They support the Émile Boutmy Excellence Scholarship: BNP Paribas, Chalhoub Group, RATP Foundation, L'Oréal, and Total.
Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship, students must:
- Be applying for the first time.
- Come from a non-European Union country.
- Have a household that doesn't pay taxes within the European Union.
- Have been accepted into either the Undergraduate or Master's program.
Students who are not eligible are:
- Swiss and Norwegian applicants may qualify for CROUS scholarships.
- Candidates with dual citizenship, including EU citizenship, are eligible.
- Candidates from Quebec can apply for master’s degrees and benefit from sliding scale fees like European applicants. Bachelor’s degree candidates from Quebec are also eligible.
- Only certain master’s level dual-degree candidates are eligible, such as those pursuing specific dual degrees like Journalism Sciences Po/Columbia University.
- Candidates for Ph.D. programs are eligible.
- Candidates applying for 1-year Master’s programs are eligible.
- Bachelor dual degree candidates are not eligible unless part of a specific agreement.
- Exchange students and candidates applying via the French graduate admission procedure are eligible.
Benefit's:
BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROGRAMME
- The Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships are given to students starting their first year at Sciences Po.
- The Émile Boutmy program offers different types of support:
- A tuition grant of €14,210 yearly for three years of the undergraduate program.
- A tuition grant of €9,500 yearly for three years of the undergraduate program.
- A tuition grant of €6,500 yearly for three years of the undergraduate program.
- A tuition grant of €3,900 yearly for three years of the undergraduate program.
- If a student continues their graduate studies at Sciences Po, the Émile Boutmy scholarship is automatically renewed.
MASTERS LEVEL:
- The Émile Boutmy program gives a tuition grant of €13,100 per year (the 2023 amount; the 2024 amount is still not confirmed).
- This grant helps cover some of the tuition fees for the two years of the Master’s degree program.
Requirements :
- To apply for undergraduate programs, you need to show your income proof and provide documents about your family situation. This could include tax returns from both parents, pay stubs, divorce papers, unemployment benefits, documents related to alimony, child support, retirement pensions, or death certificates.
- For graduate programs, you don't need to attach extra documents initially, but we might ask for income proof later if needed.
