Study in UK - The Applications are now open for fully funded University Of Sheffield Africa Scholarship



The University of Sheffield Africa Scholarship is a collaboration between the University of Sheffield Africa Scholarship Trust and the Department of Geography.

Sheffield is a top-100 university in the world, known for its excellent teaching and research. At Sheffield, you will be taught by inspirational researchers and get the opportunity to experience their work firsthand.

The University of Sheffield offers 350 courses in 75 distinct topic areas. The university also provides preparation programs for international students.

Scholarship requirements:
To be considered for the University of Sheffield Africa Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • To pay tuition, you must be classified as overseas.
  • To be eligible for this award, you must be self-funded, which means not receiving funding from a research council, government, private sector, charity, or any other comparable organization.
  • This scholarship cannot be combined with any other funding grants, whether from the University of Sheffield or from external sources.
  • Your method of attendance must be fulltime.
  • Receipt of the scholarship is contingent on satisfactorily completing any condition(s) related to your offer by the time specified by the Admissions Service.
  • Receipt of the grant is contingent on obtaining a visa to study at the University in September 2024.
  • You must be a national of or permanently domiciled in an African country.
Benifits 
The scholarship provides the following support:
  • Benefits include a full tuition waiver, university housing maintenance, and a monthly income of £8,000.
Selection Criteria 
  • The panel will be particularly interested in seeing if you have:
  • Presented a strong argument for applying to a postgraduate course at the University of Sheffield,
  • Outlined impediments to academic progress and discussed how these barriers were successfully overcome.
  • Outlined samples of job experience in the subject of international development.
  • Clearly expressed future aims; these goals are related to the postgraduate degree for which you have applied, as well as how your learning will benefit others in your country.
