Malaysia offers new scholarships in 2025 for international students pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees. The Malaysian Government aims to increase enrollment in Higher Learning Institutes (HLIs) and schools to 250,000 by 2025. Malaysian universities are striving to rank among the top globally, with goals to be in the Top 25 in Asia, Top 100 globally (two universities), and Top 200 globally (four universities) by 2025. Malaysia attracts international students with government-funded scholarships, including the popular MIS and MTCP scholarships. Compared to Western and other Asian countries, Malaysia offers lower costs for higher education and living. The education system in Malaysia is highly developed and draws students from around the world. Malaysia enjoys consistent weather throughout the year. Below is a list of scholarships available in Malaysia.

1. MIS Scholarship in Malaysia

The MIS Scholarship, funded by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, is a government scholarship for international students. It allows students to pursue Master's and PhD degrees at public universities in Malaysia. You don't need IELTS to apply, and there is no application fee.

2.MTCP Scholarship by Malaysian Technical Cooperation

The MTCP Scholarship, or Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program, is a fully funded scholarship for students from developing countries. It allows them to pursue a Master's degree at public and private universities in Malaysia. The scholarship covers airfare, tuition fees, and provides a monthly stipend.

3.UniKL British Malaysian Institute

The UniKL British Malaysian Institute is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant for Master's and PhD programs. A monthly stipend is provided for 2 years for a Master's and 3 years for a PhD. The deadline to apply is 31st July 2024. Send your CV and portfolio to nurulfazlin@unikl.edu.my.

4) University of Malaya Scholarship

The University of Malaya offers a Graduate Research Assistant position for students in Social Sciences and Biotechnology-related fields. This is for Master's studies and includes full funding along with a monthly stipend. To apply, send your CV and a one-page proposal to nurzatil@um.edu.my.

5) University of Malaya (UM) International Scholarships

The University of Malaya (UM), a public university and one of the oldest in Malaysia, offers various scholarships for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs.

6) Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) Postgraduate Opportunity

Project Title: Developing a Transformer Health Index using a Bilevel Algorithm for Feed Forward Neural Networks.

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, ICT, or a related field with a CGPA above 2.75. Benefits: Monthly allowance of RM2300 for 2 years (funded by the FRGS fund). Send your CV to: arfah@utem.edu.my
