This is a full scholarship available to both international students and Malaysian citizens to pursue a PhD in research mode at Universiti Malaya. UM Bright Scholarship Benefits:
- Stipend: RM3,500 per month for 42 months
- Tuition Fee: Waiver for 7 semesters
- Note: Insurance, visas, flight tickets, medical exams, and accommodation costs are NOT covered.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Age should not be over 30 years at the time of application.
- A Bachelor's Degree with a CGPA above 3.70 (or an equivalent qualification).
- A Master's degree obtained through research or a Master's degree with a mix of coursework and dissertation, with honours and a CGPA of at least 3.70/4.00.
- An IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.5, TOEFL score between 73-93, or CEFR level B2.
- Note: The English test scores must be valid within 2 years from the exam date.

- Passport-size photo
- Completed UMES application form
- Proof of publication (only the first page)
- Copy of the applicant’s identity card
- Copies of certificates and academic transcripts from the Bachelor's degree
- Copies of certificates and academic transcripts from the Master's degree
- A valid IELTS/TOEFL/CEFR certificate issued within the last 2 years.
