Seoul National University (SNU) is now accepting applications for the prestigious SNU Global Scholarship (GS) for Fall 2024. This scholarship is designed to attract talented international students to SNU’s graduate programs and offers comprehensive support to enhance their academic experience in South Korea.

• Global Scholarship 1 (GS 1): Includes a full tuition waiver, a monthly stipend of KRW 1,200,000, and one-time airfare support for new students.
• Global Scholarship 2 (GS 2): Offers a full tuition waiver.

Additionally, recipients can get a tuition waiver for the Korean Language Special Program’s evening class, available in either Fall 2024 or Summer 2024.

To be eligible, applicants must be international students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate program at SNU, with at least one regular semester remaining. The application period is from June 28th to July 7th, 2024, through the mySNU portal. The selection involves screening by the college or department, with results announced on July 24th for new students and August 2nd for current students.

Benifits 

Scholarship Types:

1. Global Scholarship 1 (GS 1):

• Covers full tuition fees.
• Provides a monthly stipend of KRW 1,200,000.
• Offers optional arrival and departure airfare support for eligible students.
• To be eligible for arrival airfare support, you must be a new student starting in Fall 2024 and arriving in Korea within 60 days after the scholarship announcement.
• Departure airfare support is for students graduating in February 2025 and leaving Korea before March 1, 2025.

2. Global Scholarship 2 (GS 2):

   • Covers full tuition fees.

Korean Language Training:

• Provides a tuition waiver for the Korean Language Special Program Evening Class.
• You can choose one session (either Fall 2024 or Summer 2024).

Eligibility 

The SNU Global Scholarship (GS) is open to international students who meet the following requirements:

• You must be enrolled in a graduate program at SNU or planning to enroll.
• You must have at least one full semester remaining in your graduate program at the time of application (students graduating by September 2024 are not eligible).

Access your mySNU account:

• Existing students: Sign in to your mySNU account.
• New students: Create a new mySNU account by following the university's instructions.

Navigate to the scholarship application:

There are two ways to access the application:

1. Go to "Academic Affairs" > "Scholarship" > "Apply/See Status" > "Apply for Scholarship."
2. Go to "Academic Affairs" > "My Info" > "Student Info" > "Manage Student Services/Activities."

Locate the SNU Global Scholarship Program:

• In the application section, find the notice for the "SNU Global Scholarship Program."

Submit your application:

1. Complete the application form by providing your reason for applying.
2. (Optional) Upload a video URL to support your application.
3. Submit your completed application.
