Applications are now open for the NYCU Scholarship in Taiwan for Spring 2025. This scholarship was previously known as the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) Scholarship. In 2021, NCTU merged with National Yang-Ming University to form National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). NYCU is offering scholarships for international students at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels for Spring 2025.

The university aims to attract talented international students, so they created guidelines for the NYCU International Student Scholarship. There are five different scholarships available: NYCU International Student Scholarship, NYCU Elite Ph.D. Scholarship, Taiwan Scholarship, TIGP, and the Indian Institute of Technology Industry Fellowship/Scholarship Program. Types of Scholarships Available at NYCU

• NYCU International Student Scholarship: For Bachelors, Masters, and PhD students
• NYCU Elite Ph.D. Scholarship: For PhD students
• Taiwan Scholarship: For Bachelors, Masters, and PhD students
• TIGP: For PhD students
• Indian Institute of Technology Industry Fellowship/Scholarship Program: For PhD students

Scholarship Duration

• Bachelors: 4 years
• Masters: 2 years
• PhD: 5 years

Benefits of the Scholarship

• Monthly Stipend:
• Undergraduate students: NT$5,000 – 21,000 per month
• Master’s students: NT$7,000 – 25,000 per month
• PhD students: NT$10,000 – 30,000 per month
• Tuition Waiver: Full tuition fee waiver or reduction in tuition fees.
  

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to new students who haven't received any other government scholarships or grants.
• Each department will review the applications.
• Undergraduates need to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and graduate students need a GPA of 3.5 to renew the scholarship.
• Good English skills.
• Must have all previous degrees and transcripts.
