KAUST, or King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, is a well-known university in Saudi Arabia. If you're interested in a graduate program, you can apply for the KAUST Fellowship, which supports students pursuing Master's and PhD degrees. All students who are admitted will receive this fellowship, which is available to applicants worldwide.
There is no application fee, but you must provide proof of IELTS or TOEFL scores. The GRE is not required. To apply for a Master’s program, you need to have completed an undergraduate degree, and for a PhD program, you need both an undergraduate and a Master’s degree. Scholarship Benefits:
Every student who is accepted will get a KAUST fellowship, which offers:
- Full payment of tuition fees
- A monthly allowance for living expenses (between $20,000 and $30,000 per year)
- Housing on campus
- Health and dental insurance
- Help with moving, including airfare.
Graduate Admission Requirements:
- Official university transcripts
- A CV (Curriculum Vitae)
- A statement of purpose (about 750 words)
- Three recommendation letters
- Official TOEFL or IELTS Academic score
- GRE score if available, but not required
- You don't need a faculty advisor before applying.
Master's requirements:
- To be admitted to the Master of Science (M.S.) program, you need to have completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant science field.
- Relevant areas include Engineering, Mathematics, or the Physical, Chemical, and Biological Sciences.
Ph.D. Program Requirements:
To be admitted to the Ph.D. program, you must have successfully completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field like Engineering, Mathematics, or the Physical, Chemical, or Biological Sciences.
Ph.D. students must go through three stages:
- Pass a qualifying exam.
- Pass an oral defense of your dissertation proposal.
- Complete the dissertation phase and pass the final defense.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to applicants from any country.
- Make sure to upload all the required documents.
- A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is needed.
- A TOEFL score of at least 79 is required.

- Your application will be reviewed by the Faculty Review Committee.
