Number of Scholarships for GKS 2025:

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS-U) 2025 is providing 367 fully funded undergraduate scholarships in Korea.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be from countries designated by NIIED to apply for the Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarship.
  • Applicants should not have dual citizenship or be Korean citizens.
  • Students who have graduated or will graduate from high school or an associate degree program can apply for the bachelor’s program.
  • Students who have graduated or will graduate from high school can apply for the associate degree program.
  • Students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree are not eligible for GKS 2025.
  • Those with an associate degree can only apply for the bachelor’s program.
  • Applicants must have a high CGPA, with a score of 80% or above (at least 2.64 out of 4.00).
  • Applicants must be under 25 years of age.
  • They should be in good mental and physical health.
  • English language certificates are required.
  • Applicants must not have any criminal record.

How to Apply:

You can apply in two ways: through the Embassy Track or the University Track.

  • Embassy Track: Apply through the South Korean embassy in your country. The embassy will select eligible candidates, recommend universities, and nominate you for the scholarship. The final decision will be made by NIIED.

  • University Track: Apply directly to a participating university. The university will nominate you for the scholarship and send your nomination to NIIED, which will make the final decision.
