Applications are now open for the ADB Young Professional Program (YPP). This is an entry-level program offering a fixed 3-year appointment at ADB headquarters in Manila, Philippines, and other ADB locations. The program is aimed at highly qualified individuals who want a professional career in international development. Similar to the World Bank’s Young Professionals Program, the ADB YPP is a great stepping stone for careers in top global organizations like the World Bank, ADB, UN, and WTO.

Key Features of ADB YPP:

  • 3-Year Fixed Contract: YPs start at ADB headquarters in Manila for 18 months, then move to another ADB location for the rest of their term.
  • Career Growth: After completing the program, YPs have the option to continue with ADB and pursue a long-term career.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Young Professional, you’ll work on a variety of ADB initiatives such as loans, grants, technical assistance, and knowledge-sharing projects.

  • Strategy and Planning: Contribute to ADB’s policy development and strategy, and support research and analysis.
  • Project Management: Help design and manage projects, ensuring ADB’s policies are followed.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Participate in ADB’s advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building efforts.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a national of an ADB member country.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Environment, Law, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field. Postgraduate degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience (internships count).
  • Must be under 32 years of age.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
