The Hokkaido University MEXT Scholarship 2025 is open to new international students who want to study for a Master's or PhD at Hokkaido University in Japan. Applications are now open for enrollment in October 2025. The scholarship is provided by the Japanese Government and covers tuition, enrollment fees, airfare, and a monthly living allowance. Hokkaido University is a well-known public research university in Sapporo, Japan, and is one of the country's oldest universities.

Eligibility:

• Open to international students outside Japan
• Applicants should finish their previous degree by October 2025
• Bachelor's degree holders can apply for a Master’s, while Master's degree holders can apply for a PhD
• A minimum CGPA of 3 out of 4 or 80% equivalent is required
• Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1989
