Applications are now open for the NPU President Scholarship 2025 in China, offered by Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). This scholarship is available for international students worldwide who want to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree. NPU offers this scholarship for all academic programs and divides it into three levels:

• First Level: Covers tuition fees, accommodation, and a monthly living allowance.
• Second Level: Covers tuition fees.
• Third Level: Covers 50% of tuition fees.

Scholarship Duration

• Bachelor’s: 4 years
• Master’s: 3 years
• PhD: 4 years

Scholarship Benefits

Monthly living allowance:

• Undergraduate: 1500 RMB
• Master’s: 2000 RMB
• PhD: 3500 RMB

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be foreign nationals with valid passports (Chinese citizens are not eligible).
• Must be in good physical and mental health.
• Age Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s: High school diploma, under 25 years old (by September 1, 2025).
  • Master’s: Bachelor’s degree, under 30 years old (by September 1, 2025).
  • PhD: Master’s degree, under 35 years old (by September 1, 2025).
• Proof of English language proficiency is required.

• Self-introduction
• Language certificate (English or Chinese)
• Non-criminal record (valid for five months)
• Certified awards and research achievements (if any)
• Physical Examination Form (valid for six months)
• Guardian guarantee (if under 18)
• Bank statement
• Any other supporting documents

For Master’s and PhD Programs

• Passport copy
• Previous degree certificates and transcripts
• GRE, GMAT scores (if available)
• Two recommendation letters from professors or senior academic staff
• Study and research plan in China
• Language certificate (English or Chinese)
• Non-criminal record (valid for six months)
• Supervisor acceptance letter
• Awards and research achievements (if any)
• Physical Examination Form (valid for six months)
• Bank statement
• Art/design portfolio for certain majors

Application Deadlines

Bachelor’s Applications:

• Batch 1: November 1, 2024 – February 15, 2025
• Batch 2: February 16, 2025 – March 15, 2025
• Batch 3: March 16, 2025 – April 15, 2025
• Batch 4: April 16, 2025 – May 15, 2025

Master’s & PhD Applications:

• Batch 1: November 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024
• Batch 2: January 1, 2025 – January 31, 2025
• Batch 3: February 1, 2025 – February 28, 2025
• Batch 4: March 1, 2025 – April 15, 2025
