Applications are now open for the Ireland Government International Education Scholarship 2025 (GOI-IES). This scholarship supports international students who want to pursue a Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD at Irish universities. It is funded by the Irish government and higher education institutions (HEIs). A total of 60 scholarships will be awarded for one year of full-time study. Applicants from any field can apply. The academic year begins in September or October 2025, and final-year undergraduate students are also eligible. Applications must be submitted online before the deadline through an eligible Irish HEI.
Scholarship Benefits
- Living Allowance: €10,000 stipend to cover living expenses and other costs.
- Tuition Waiver: Full tuition and registration fees are covered.
Scholarship Duration
- One Year Only: The scholarship is valid for one academic year and cannot be extended.
- No Repeat Funding: Recipients are not eligible to reapply for a second year.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Open to applicants from outside the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the UK.
- University Offer: Must have an offer of admission from an Irish university.
- Program Application: Applicants must apply for a relevant Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD program at an eligible institution.
