The Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship for Pioneering Women in STEM is a fully funded opportunity in Sweden that combines world-class education, cutting-edge technology, and a focus on sustainability. This program invites women from ten Asian and African countries to pursue master’s studies in Sweden. The scholarship aims to build a global network of future leaders who support the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and promote diversity in STEM. It offers a variety of English-taught master’s programs in fields like Mathematics, Science, Technology, and Engineering.

- Tuition Coverage: Full tuition fees for each semester are covered by the Swedish Institute.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be women from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, or Vietnam.
- Have only one eligible citizenship if holding dual nationality.
- Pay the master’s program application fee on time via University Admissions.
- Be conditionally admitted to an eligible master’s program by March 2025.
- Not already be enrolled in a Swedish master’s program.
- Not have previously received an SI scholarship or a degree from a Swedish university.
- Not have lived in Sweden for more than two years before applying.
Documents Required:
- Degrees and transcripts from previous higher education.
- Updated CV.
- Motivation letter.
- References.
- Proof of English proficiency.
- Passport.
- Any additional documents requested by the university.
How to Apply:
- Choose a Master’s Program: Select an eligible program (link available on the official website).
- Apply via University Admissions:
- Log in to the portal.
- Search and rank your programs.
- Submit required documents and pay the application fee.
- Register your citizenship and submit the electronic form.
- Follow Notifications:
- By 27th March 2025, you’ll receive an admission decision from the university.
- By 24th April 2025, the Swedish Institute will notify you about the scholarship outcome.
